Small Gestures of Joy...

There are many people we come across and interact in our everyday life – our friends, colleagues, roommates, parents etc etc. Definitely they play an important part in our life and every decision in our life is taken after brain storming sessions with them . But there are few people we see almost every day, we hardly talk to them but still we need them and they need us. These are the people who bring a little smile on our face and make our monotonous life a little worth living. Few of them I come across everyday are-

The office shuttle driver who waits a couple of mins more for me

The cafeteria tea guy who makes the exact green tea I drink, even before I ask for it.

The traffic police guy who helps me cross the busy road every morning

The vegetable seller who keeps the fresh bunch of green leafy vegetables for me

The chicken shop guy who everytime cuts fresh chicken for me and ensures it’s without skin

The cab driver who turns on the FM radio as soon as I get into the cab

The maid lady who gets neem leaves every Ugadi without forgetting

The darshini owner who clears my parcel order first and does not make me wait

The local restaurant guy who delivers food even if its less than his minimum order

The tender coconut selling guy who gives me the biggest coconut which has lots of water

I don’t even know their names and they don’t know mine. We just see each other almost everyday and know one another by face. These people don’t have to do all this, they don’t need to at all. But these small gestures make our (atleast my) life a little livable. We don’t appreciate them everyday but atleast let me say it here - Thanks to all of you for being there :)!!!

Move on…

It sounds really positive and encouraging when people ask you to get over things and say – MOVE ON!!! It might be good rather useful when someone is going through a break up, divorce or sudden loss of a beloved person. There is a dialogue from the movie Chalo Dilli- ‘Jo Cheez hain ya to use badlo ya fir accept karo!’ When a person does not like something in his/her life and wants to change it, the world comes back and says – ‘Accept it and move on… or We all live with it, suck it up and move on!’ When things are not going your way just accepting them, wont take you anywhere.

Infact it triggers a hidden devil that says – ‘Screw you guys!!! I am so gonna prove you wrong’

It is this unhappiness and the frustration that fuels the urge of changing things. Trust me that works wonders. It is your life and no soul on this earth has the right to order you how to live it. If you don’t like something in your life, go ahead and change it. Its just for once that we live and lets not live under the burden of things that we hate to do.
